Cathy Holland Hornsby

Mrs. Cathy E. Holland Hornsby, 60, resident of Montgomery, passed peacefully in the Lord, Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8 at 10:00 at McGehee Road Baptist Church in Montgomery with Pastor Keith Gambill and Rev. Winston Brooks officiating. A family graveside service will be held at 2:30 at New Hope Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Cathy was a long time sales associate at Gayfer's, Dillard's, Parisian, and Belk and an active member of McGehee Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sonnie Love and Mary Alice Holland and sister Magdalene Vidich. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Joseph Ollie Hornsby and her children, Channing Eric (Traci) Holland, Melinda (Barry) Wright, and Jessica (Derek) Pence; grandchildren, Carsan Leigh Tatum, Channing Eric Holland, Jr. and Anna Claire Wright; great granddaughters, Aubree Leigh and Kallee Jo Flournoy, and Teddi Annabella Holland, soon to be great grandson, Granger Thompson; sisters, Rhonda (Bob) Miller, and Sandra Durden; brothers, Lamar Holland and Max Holland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to McGehee Road Baptist Church or Gideon International. Pallbearers are Barry Wright, Derek Pence, Dan Windham, Larry Hornsby, Danny Hornsby, Bob Miller, Phillip Sakers, Michael Vidich, Matthew Vidich, and David Grimes.
