Charles graduated from Starke Military High School and went on to attend Marion Military Institute and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University). He worked in the Agricultural Products and Chemicals business for 38 years and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalgo Anderson and Marvel Gross Cobb; and brother, Dalgo A. Cobb, Jr.
Charles is survived by his wife of 64 years, Catherine Johnston Cobb; daughters, Cheryl (George) Speake, Anne Marie Cobb, and Catherine Dale Cobb; son, Howard F. (Dana) Cobb; grandchildren, Charles Jennings (Kelli) Wright, Dr. Maurine Speake (Dr. Jacob) Batson, Catherine Jordan Speake (Devin) Jenkins, Austin Daniel Cobb; and great-granddaughter, Margot Corinne Batson.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Peter Catholic Church-Parrish Hall at 1:00pm with a Mass following at 2:00, led by Father Francis Sofie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church.
