Dale Brantley Hill, 79, was born April 16, 1940 in Tallassee, Alabama, the seventh child of the late David Roy Brantley, Sr. and Cora Lee Turner Brantley. Dale passed away at home November 15, 2019. She grew up in Tallassee where she eventually met her husband, Ray Hill. In Tallassee, they married, lived, and welcomed their first son Andy. They later relocated to Montgomery and had three more children - Amy, Adam and Anissa. Dale had a wonderfully full life as a beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother extraordinaire, dedicated teacher, and a leader of numerous church and community activities.
Dale is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and son Andrew Ray Hill, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Andrew Ray Hill, Sr.; children: Amy (Scott) Thompson, Adam (Kelley) Hill, and Anissa Hill; grandchildren: Ashley (Zachary) Triscuit, Joshua (Lisa) Hill, Aaron Hill, Wesley Thompson, Oliver and Philip Yi, and James Hill; great-grandchildren: Athena and Sophia Triscuit; daughter-in-law, Leashia (Andy) Hill; brother, Ronald Brantley; lifelong friend, Betty Ann Singleton; and so many dear family members and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Pamela, Rosie, Ann, Delcia, the late Mae Davis, and Encompass Hospice for their loving care and assistance.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Leak Memory Chapel, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. Chapel Service. Graveside immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church Children's ministry or Music ministry, the American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer's Association.
