A visitation for Mr. Grimes will be Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 11:45 am. Graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors.
Dan is survived by his wife, Barbara Grimes; daughter, Christie Grimes, Grand daughter, Alanis Clark; sisters, Doris Hughes and Judy Ijames and brothers; Eddie Grimes and Roy Grimes.
Dan was a distribution clerk with the United States Postal Service and a veteran with the United States Army. He loved his family and his home. He was an avid fan of westerns and military films. He enjoyed cooking and the music of Willie Nelson as well as music from the 1960's. His favorite song was "Amazing Grace".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnett T. and Gladys Grimes.
