Pope, Mrs. Dollohite (Dolly) Branum, 92 a resident of Montgomery died Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel, Friday, July 29, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 10:00, Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Sunrise Memorial Park, Greenville, AL, with Dr. Jay Wolf officiating. Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Shirley Newton Branum, husband, James Crawford Pope, daughters, Violet Pope Smith and Brenda Pope McVay, granddaughter, Peytie Heartsill Bennett, two sisters, Ruby Wood and Maude Delane Wood, three brothers, Mack Branum, Rastus Branum and Ray Branum. Mrs. Pope is survived by one brother, Mowbray (Lila) Branum, Greenville, AL, two daughters, June (Tim) Robinson, Nancy (Delmar) Epton, son, Jim (Deborah) Pope all of Montgomery, son-in-law, Norm Smith, Carlisle, PA. Eleven grandchildren, Kendra (Fred) Smith Martin, Karen Smith, Ty Heartsill, Van (Rachael) Heartsill, Ashli (Rob) Heartsill Presley, Celeste (Spencer) Rowell Ryan, Michael Rowell, Shay (Wayne) Pope Grant, Rachel (Byron) Pope Lamkin, John (Jennifer) McVay, James McVay, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ty Heartsill, Van Heartsill, Michael Rowell, John McVay, James McVay, Wayne Grant and Byron Lamkin. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Montgomery or Vistacare Hospice, Montgomery. Arrangements under the direction of Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL.
