Edward (Mack) Burleson 83, a longtime resident of Montgomery, died peacefully at home on Aug 4, 2023 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleton and Boncyle Burleson, his brother Virgil Burleson, his sister Wanda B Stevens and his step grandson Trey W Quillen. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carolyn B Burleson; his daughter Debbie B Hollingsworth; his son Rocky M Burleson (Lee) and a stepson Brad R Quillen. He was known as " Big Mack " by all his grandchildren, James Hollingsworth (Kat), Sabrina Hollingsworth, Erin Burleson, Bryan Burleson, step grandchildren, Tyler Quillen (Jamie) and Jamey Quillen and 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers Billy Burleson (Glenda), Jimmy Burleson (Diane).
Mack was born in Laurel Hill, FL (Home of the Hoboes) on September 24, 1939. Mack was a Barber and shop owner of Silver Shears Barber Shop, in east Montgomery, for 50 years. He loved his shop, his customers and being at work every day. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
