Nixon, Elbert C., 80, of Montgomery, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. A lifelong resident of Montgomery, he was retired from Brockway Glass Company and a member of Beacon Hope Church of God. After his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and made several pieces of furniture that are still being enjoyed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Betty; Sister: Paula LaCoste, of Wetumpka; Special nieces and nephews: April Lockhart and husband, Mitch, and their children: Auriauna and MaKayla, of Wetumpka; Jacqueline Roberts and husband Andrew of Montgomery; Nephew: Phillip Pruitt, of Montgomery; grandson: William Beam; Great Grand-daughter: Chelsea Beam. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Leak Memory Chapel with visitation beginning at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
