Enice Howell Turner, age 97, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Born to Rufus Howell and Martha Dill Howell, Enice grew up among a family of 9. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Lt. Col. Albert Turner; her daughter, Martha Jackson and her grandson Justin Jackson as well as her siblings, Mary, Jeanette, Eunice and Bobby. Enice is survived by her son, Neal Turner and daughter-in-law, Laurie Turner; her brother Brian and sister Louise.
A secretary within the field of civil service, Mrs. Turner never left her country roots. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. She started the day with fresh coffee and enjoyed coffee all day long poured from her stainless steel thermos. A faithful member of First Baptist Montgomery, Enice was an avid bible reader and student.
A graveside service for Mrs. Turner will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. (Route 2, Section 8- open bible section)
