RUSSELL, Eunice C., 96 of Lilburn, GA and a longtime resident of Montgomery, died Monday, December 31, 2018. Survivors include her sons, Mike Russell (Kathy) of Bethlehem, GA and Richard Russell of Roswell, GA; her grandchildren, Kristine, Sarah and Peter Russell, and several nieces and nephews. Survivors also include her sister Margaret Hubbard of Las Vegas NV and her sister in law Margaret Chandler of Jack, AL. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years James L. Russell, Jr. Lt. Col. USAF (Ret), her sisters Bessie Armistead of Troy, Nettie B. Bullard of Troy, Alma Cleveland of Montgomery, Lillie Myrtle Darby of Marianna, FL, Gussie Lee Mallet of Troy, Eva Mae Stone of Troy, and brother Eugene Chandler of Jack.
Mrs. Russell was always actively involved with her family, her community and her church and volunteered in the Jackson Hospital ICU for over 25 years. She was a member of Woodley Baptist Church, now Thorington Road Baptist Church in Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm on Saturday, January 5th at Leak Memory Chapel with Pastor Eddie Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 5th prior to the service at Leak Memory Chapel.
