
Florence B. Smythe, 102 , passed away in her sleep Saturday, January 12, 2013 to go home and be with the Lord Jesus. Originally from Dayton, Ohio Florence was an administrator for Delco Products who loved music and dancing. She moved to Montgomery, Alabama in 1959 and owned a franchise of Tony's Pizza ( Tony was her son-in-law ). Florence was widowed in 1961 and never re-married. After closing her pizza restaurant she worked for Parisians department store for many years until she retired. She moved to Pensacola, Florida in 2006 to live with her loving daughter Sandra, who took care of her and shared the last seven years of a long wonderful life. Florence also loved the Auburn Tigers football team fiercely. She was preceded in death by her husband George Jerome Smythe, siblings Raymond "Buddy" Brant and Margarite "Peggy" Fisher, and also her loving son Glen Arthur Smythe. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Bucci (Anthony), eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery Alabama. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
