

Harrison, Frances Wilkerson, 88, died Friday, July 15, 2011 in Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Harrison was born in Memphis, TN on December 9, 1922. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Fannie Mae Wilkerson and her husband, Clyde Barker Harrison. She is survived by her son, Roy (Gwen) Harrison of Montgomery, AL; sister, Peggy Mahan of San Antonio, TX; nieces, Jennifer (Wynn) Curry of San Antonio, TX and Beth Dietrich of San Antonio, TX; great nieces, Robyn (Jeff) McGinnis of Texas, Kendra Dietrich of Texas, and Hallie (Marc) Crettet of North Carolina; great nephew, Chris (Carolina) Curry of Texas and several great-great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harrison graduated from Texas State College for Women in 1943 with a Masters Degree. She married Clyde Barker Harrison on December 10, 1943 and became a grade school teacher in Memphis, TN. She then became college professor at Evangel Christian College in Springfield, MO until she was called into ministry and retired from teaching. She was ordained by the Assemblies of God and was an evangelist, author, counselor and friend to many. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 2:30 pm at the First Assembly of God. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbeares will be Lynn Lett, Don Powell, Dean Newsome, Alex Cooper, Ron Daniels and Bobby Kirkpatrick.
