Francis James (Jim) Kenney, SMSgt, (USAF, Ret.), 73, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Burial with military honors will be performed at Arlington National Cemetery. Jim was born August 21, 1940 in Brooklyn NY and was raised by his grandparents Frank and Jessie McCabe. Upon graduation from Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, NY, he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served with distinction and honor for 23 years. Jim loved to travel, bicycle, run and play tennis. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Phylis; daughter, Colleen Catania (John); son, Robert Kenney (Margie); grandsons Timothy Catania (Meagan), Joshua Catania, Matthew Bushnell; sisters, Jessie Lawton (George), Mariah Richards, Virginia Novocinski, Shirley Anne Lesieski; and brother Matthew Hurley.
