Born in Queens, New York, Frank graduated from New Rochelle High School and went on to attend the University of Buffalo, later earning his law degree from Albany Law School. His distinguished career spanned private practice, service with the New York Department of Social Services, time as City Court Judge in Oswego, NY, and ultimately retirement as a Federal Administrative Law Judge in Montgomery, AL.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Edna Ruth Klinger. He is survived by his three children: Mary Traff, Cheri (Jay) Rawls, and Ken (Kelley) Klinger; and nine grandchildren: Keely Strength, Matthew Klinger, Emily Klinger, Kate Strength, Hannah Traff, Lily Traff, Brady Traff, Allison Klinger, and Caroline Klinger.
Frank had a passion for history and sports, and he loved sharing that passion with others. More than anything, he was the heart of his family — the patriarch and the glue that held everyone together. His wisdom, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 PM.
