He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sarah Davidson; brothers, Owen and Mitchell Davidson; sister, Kathryn Hicks.
Remaining to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Betty, his sons Mike (Lana) and Mark (Stacey), Grandsons Evan, Samuel and Cody; brothers Paul (Hilda) and James (Mary), Sisters Alice (Pete) Astafan, Jane Miniard, Myrtle Malone, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
George was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather, affectionately known as Papa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, gardening, barbequing, and working with World Bible School. He was a faithful member of the Lord's church for over 70 years.
The funeral service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, AL at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 22, 2020 with visitation one hour before.
A private graveside service will be held for the family on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 1:00pm.
