
Edmondson, George William 81, departed this life on October 5, 2015 to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In life he was saved on November 29, 1970, and was an active member of Mcgehee Road Baptist Church where he Served on Numerous committees, and taught a Sunday school class. He became a member of the Gideon International in January 1973, and served in numerous offices, but he felt the city jail ministry was his spot of service. In April 1964 he received his license to practice as an Architect in Alabama, and obtained a license in 7 other states. His specialty was Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Retirement Units. He is proceeded in death by his wife Peggy Edmondson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mike Parker, grandchildren Michael Parker and Amy Parker, in-laws of his wife’s family that meant a lot to him. Pallbearers to be selected Gideons, honorary pall bearers to be other Gideons, and members of Sunday school class. Visitation and services will be held at McGehee Road Baptist Church Friday October 9, 2015. Visitation starting at 10:00 am at the church with an 11:00 am service and burial to follow at Greenwood-Serenity Cemetery.
