George Forest Milligan Sr.

Milligan, George Forest, Sr., 93, a resident of Ramer, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Mr. Milligan was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sarah T. Milligan. He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn F. Rock; son, George Forest Milligan, Jr.; grandson, Michael G. Rock and granddaughter,Andrea E. (Jason) Casanova. Mr. Milligan served in the United States Army during WWII in Europe Theater. He was a founding member of the South Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Deptment and was a life long member of Sampey Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Sampey Memorial Baptist Church in Ramer, AL at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend James McMicken officiating. Burial will follow at Ramer Cemetery. Visitation will start at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Cecil Dorsey, Jr., Stan Sikes, Trey Trussel, Jimmy Grant, Bob Tucker and Louis Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be remaining church deacons, Billy Joe Sansom and Elton McGaha. Memorials can be made to the South Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department or Sampey Memorial Baptist Church.
