Gwena Wayne Felder

Gwena Wayne Felder (Gwen) went to her heavenly home on February 21, 2024 at the age of 89. She retired from teaching special needs children at the age of 82. She also worked at Save-A-Life and owned her business of JanGwens Hobby Shop. She had a passion for crafts and started “Crafts for Christ” there, she taught many to crochet, which she had an exceptional talent for.

Gwen was an ordained chaplain, and a “go to” for all questions about the Bible and life itself. She lived a full life in Christ and was an inspiration to all the lives she touched, especially her close friend which she held dear to her heart.

Gwen is proceeded in death by her husband, Paul Chappell Felder, Sr and two children, Gwena Lyn Felder, and Bob Stanley Felder. She is survived by five children, Paul Chappell Felder Jr, (Marie), Joseph Wayne Felder (Patricia), William Thomas Felder, Sr (Diane), Leo Lassie Felder (Melissa), and Raney Ann Mckissack (Jack). Gwen also had 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. We would also like to give specials thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Ashley Mckissack.

A family and friends visitation for Gwena will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will occur Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Leak Memory. A graveside committal service will occur Monday, February 26, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery.
