Ms. Hester Lucile Cunningham went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Northport, AL. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday September 29, 2014 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Gambill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Ms. Cunningham is preceded in death by her parents, Collis and Hester Cunningham; and brother, William G. Cunningham.
She is survived by her sister, Christine Redden; nephew, Drew (Cindy) Cunningham; niece, Karen (Ken) Worley; and 7 great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Cunningham was a long time resident of Montgomery, who worked and retired from Baptist Health Systems. For over 35 years, she was an active member of the Peter Forney Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Horseshoe Bend DAC chapter, and the Capt. Thomas Yale Chapter of the Colonial Dames 17th Century. She was also a founding member of and actively involved at McGehee Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Cunningham enjoyed filling her free time with genealogical research of her family.
