Imogene Roper DePriest, 76, a resident of Montgomery for 43 years, died suddenly on March 7, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the University Church of Christ with Ministers Martel Pace and Randy Medlin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. Mrs. DePriest was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eva Roper. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Wilson DePriest; son, Randal (Laureen) DePriest; grandsons, Owen and Alan, all of Cumming, GA; and sister, Becky Roper of Pensacola, FL. She taught in the public schools in Butler, Crenshaw and Montgomery counties. Her last employment was kindergarten teacher at St. James School in Montgomery. She was a member of the University Church of Christ and was active with the Senior Servants Ministry.
