Mr. Jack Mac Girdner of Hope Hull, Alabama passed away on June 5, 2012, succumbing to a violent crime. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama on June 1, 1939 to Jeffrey and Ruth Girdner. Jack was a proud naval veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict. He moved to California in 1972 with his family and worked as a nurse anesthetist in Palm Springs until retiring. He moved back to Alabama a number of years ago. Jack was a fervant servant of the Lord which was very evident (he never met a stranger because he was always sharing God’s love). His mild manner, up beat attitude, kindness, genuine interest in people and great humor were only a few of his attributes. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his children: Sherri Fojas (Gus), Deborah Galloway, Paul Girdner, Jacquelynn Larson (Keith), and Joanna Girdner; Sister: Linda Girdner; Brothers: David Girdner (Anita) and Kenny Girdner (Margie). Jack had 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. We can be assured and find peace that he is resting in the Lord, and awaiting the Resurection. Visitation will be Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 1 to 3 pm at Leak Memory Chapel, with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to Alabama Victims of Violent Crimes, P. O. Box 231267, Montgomery, AL 36123. Thank you and God Bless You.
