Dr. Anderson dedicated his entire career to practicing medicine at various hospitals in the area, including St. Margaret's, Jackson, and Baptist. He was one of the founding physicians of "Doctors Hospital" in East Montgomery and performed the first modern open-heart surgery in town.
After retiring from his successful surgical practice, Dr. Anderson continued to serve his community by working as the city of Montgomery's Police Physician for a decade. He also collaborated with the local federal social security disability office for several years before stepping down in 2019.
During his final years, Dr. Anderson found immense joy and fought passionately for quality time spent with family and loved ones, being known to his grandchildren as "Big Pop". His unwavering strength and determination earned him the title of champion both on and off the field throughout his entire life.
