James "Jim" Worthy Seale, age 79 passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Jim came to Montgomery from Birmingham in 1953. Graduating from Sidney Lanier High School (1963), he went on to Auburn where he earned a pharmaceutical degree. A pharmacist and director at Baptist Medical Center South, Jim was a fixture at Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he served faithfully within the audio-visual ministry. A deacon for 50 years, Jim found ways to quietly serve and help others. Operation Christmas Child was just one of his many passions. He also enjoyed fishing and cruising as well as cheering for Auburn athletics.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Worthy Seale and Doris "Dot" Seale; and his brother, Randy Seale. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carol P. Seale; his children, Brian T. Seale (Stephanie) and Melinda S. Simmons (David); his grandchildren, Joy S. Gary (Walt), Emily Simmons, and Baileigh Seale.
A friends and family visitation for Jim will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 5260 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36116, followed by a celebration of life church service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
