John Henry Bethea Jr.

John Henry Bethea, Jr., age 80, a resident of Montgomery passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born in Montgomery on July 24, 1941 to the late Lena Singleton Bethea and John Henry Bethea, Sr. He was one of 8 children.

He is preceeded in death by his parents as well as Sisters, Ruth Wright(Everette), Grace Young(James), Jean Ward(Earl) and Joanne Wilkes(Jim). He is survied by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Judean Wright Bethea, Daughter Lee'Sha Bethea Fox-Wynn, Son Steven Bethea(Autumn), Grandaughter Bethany Fox, Grandsons Addison Bethea(Ayesha), Blaze Wynn(Brandy) and Bridge Wynn(Sky) as well as two Great Grandchildren, Mateo Bethea and his heart Shaylee Rayne Fraiser. He is also survived by three siblings including his Little Brother, Charles Bethea and Sisters, Myra Lazenby and Sue Bethea along with numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A 1960 graduate of Tallassee High School, He worked for NCR Corporation for 40 years and retired as a Territory Manager. He was an avid Fisherman and Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved being with his family. He was a gentleman and a scholar, and a Veteran of the Alabama Air National Guard serving during the Vietnam War.

Our hearts are sad but we can rejoice that today he is in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will always cherish memories of our wonderful Loving and Faithful Husband, Father, Boppa and Brother while knowing that one day we will see him again.

A family and friends visitation for John will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Following the family and friends visitation will be a celebration of life graveside service at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
