John William Janoski

John William Janoski, a native of Smithfield Ohio, went to be with the Lord Tuesday November 26, 2019 in Montgomery Alabama where he resided. A 1954 graduate of Smithfield High School, John joined the United States Army where he served three years, then twenty three years in the United States Air Force and served one year in Vietnam. He retired at Maxwell Air Force Base in 1986 as a Master Sergeant E7 and then after ten years from Baptist Hospital in Montgomery. Survivors include his beloved wife of 43 years, Sung Kumie Janoski, sister, Ann Jonard of Cambridge Ohio, special niece, Kathy Janoski Williams of Arlington Texas and several nieces and nephews, and a special and devoted caregiver, LaTonya McMeans-Adams. Preceded in death are his parents, Albert and Mary Zubeck Janoski, siblings, Michael Janoski, Andrew Janoski, Helen Patterson and Alice Conley. Funeral services will be held at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 2nd at 11:00AM. The family will be receiving friends and family one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made in his name to Perry Hill United Methodist Church, 910 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
