

WALRAVEN, JOHN JEFFREY, 49, passed away 9 September, 2012 in Montgomery, AL. John was born in Dallas, GA, on October 18, 1962. He graduated from Paulding County High School in Dallas, GA, served in the United States Air Force for 9 years, and received a Bachelor's Degree from Faulkner University, Montgomery, AL. John is survived by his wife, Marian (Eve), sons Wesley of Dallas, GA, Jesse, Travis, and Ethan of Montgomery, AL, brothers Terry (Alisa) Turner, of Hiram, GA, Ricky (Lynn) Walraven, of Dallas, GA, and sisters Kay (Jerry) Lee, Sheila Ferguson, and Becky (Hoyle) Dempsey all of Dallas, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. John’s greatest joy in life was his family, and he loved telling stories about his four sons. He served as a scout leader for Troop 223 and cherished their many camping excursions. John never met a stranger. He will always be known for his “It’s all good” response to any challenge. John’s Memorial Service will be Sunday, 16 September, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at Whitfield United Methodist Church, 2673 Fisk Rd., Montgomery, AL. A reception at Key Largo, 1343 Dalraida Rd., Montgomery, AL, will follow for family and friends. He will be buried in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL on Monday, 17 September, 2012, at 10:15 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in John's name be made to Autismspeaks.org .
