Johnnie Louise Bridgman Reynolds was born November 15, 1938 in Wrightsville, NC to John and Leona Bridgman. She grew up in Wilmington, NC where she lived across the street from Lucille Ball. On visits with her sister, Ms. Ball would dress the girls up and they would even wear make-up (especially red lipstick).
As a teenager, she met Alfred Reynolds at a Steak and Shake and their meeting evolved into 60+ years of marriage. In 1969, their journey brought them to Montgomery where Johnnie managed Al's Htg & A/C, a plant nursery and a furniture store, all while raising four children and managing her own household.
Later with income from their rental properties, the couple traveled in their RV visiting relatives and cheering for their grandson Louie in his motocross and skating competitions. She enjoyed cheering for Alabama football and collecting dolls, but her real love was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Reynolds is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred Reynolds; her parents, John Bridgman and Leona Spivey Bridgman; her son, Bobby Reynolds; and granddaughters, Christy Bowick, Christy Christian, and Ballard Reynolds. She is survived by her children, Connie Reynolds Bowick, Ronnie (Carol) Reynolds, and Theresa Reynolds Bivens; her grandchildren, Melissa Christian, Louie (Michelle) Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, John J. (Ashton) Bowick Jr., Aja Reynolds, and Elizabeth (Brandon) Hall; as well as her great grandchildren, Charles Morgan Smith, Cannan (Meagan) Mann, Sheldon Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Chloe Blades, Braylen Reynolds, Colten Champion, Caiden Money, Ethan Scott, Everett Reynolds, John J. "Tripp" Bowick III, and Skylar Hall; and her great great grandchild, Christy Smith; her sister, Nancy Stater; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnnie's pallbearers will be Louie Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, John J. Bowick Jr., Justin Reynolds, Cannan Mann, Colten Champion, Braylen Reynolds, and Shelton Reynolds.
