
Hurlbert, Joseph Clinton Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, born May 21st, 1941, passed away at age 70 at his home on Monday, June 20, 2011. Mr. Hurlbert was a graduate of Samford University and began his career at Redstone Arsenal drafting the Saturn V Rocket. He joined the Air Force in 1967 and retired after a 25 year military career with tour of duty in Korea, Germany, Japan and the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Doris Billings Hurlbert, Sr. Mr. Hurlbert is survived by his wife, Sally (Sara) F. Hurlbert; daughters, Kimberly (Roger) Conner, Sarah (Gary) McCulloch; granddaughters, Jordan Foster, Rebekah Foster, Elizabeth Lee, Victoria Conner and Meredith McCulloch; grandson, Mason McCulloch; sisters, Nancy (Randy) Tribble, Iris Hurlbert, Cathy Clifton; mother-in-law, Marion M. Fisher; sisters-in-law, Chris (Mike) Scanlan, Jody Hruska and Kathy (Marty) Rugroden. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. The family would like to especially thank Alacare Hospice of Montgomery for the exceptional and loving care of Mr. Hurlbert. The family is requesting donations to the Montgomery Area Food Bank in memory of Mr. Hurlbert.
