Ken was a long time employee with Algenon Blair and then spent several years working with various construction companies. He retired from Alabama Department of Finance as the Construction Manager. After retiring, Ken spent his time being a wonderful and involved grandfather, lovingly known as Big Daddy. Big Daddy enjoyed being a grandfather and loved his grandsons in every way.
Ken grew up loving baseball and all things N.Y. Yankees. Classic cars was one of his passions that grew deeper through years of buying and tinkering with varieties of hot rods and classics. He knew and loved all things about history. He enjoyed spending his time reading and watching old western movies. Another deep passion that grew was his love for the shooting sports, the history of guns and all aspects of guns, all of which he made sure to share with his sons and grandsons. Ken, while being a quiet, humble man who loved his loved ones deeply and with all of his heart, he also loved nothing more than playing practical jokes on his closest friends. His service will be held Friday, August 11 at 11:30 am at Leak Memory Chapel with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Faith Radio.
