Lida was born on June 15, 1935 in Anniston, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy Pryor Stickney Cobbs and Wiley Tunstall Cobbs. She married William Chesley Bowman, III on January 19, 1957.
Lida attended Gulf Park Junior College, Mary Baldwin College and the University of Alabama.
She is survived by her husband, William Chesley Bowman III of Montgomery, Alabama and her sister, Stella Stickney Cobbs Anderson of Talladega, Alabama: her daughters Lucy Pryor Bowman Brady (David) of Mobile, Alabama and Ellen Cobbs Bowman Shields (John) of Arrington, Tennessee. Granddaughters Lucy Pryor Brady Slaton (William) and Charlotte Carrington Brady Wall (Kyle), Great Grand Children Brady Elizabeth Wall, Kyle Lawrence Wall, Jr. and William Bowman Slaton of Mobile, Alabama.
A family graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery, Alabama.
