Linda Segall Taffet passed away peacefully after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. Linda opened and ran the Sylvan Learning Center for 26 years where she positively touched the lives of over 9000 students. A graduate of Sydney Lanier High School, she earned Master Degrees with honors from both the University of Oklahoma and Troy University. Linda was only the second woman president of Agudath Israel Synagogue. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Colonel Bob Taffet (ret), their three sons David (Christie), Jay (Moriah) and Jeff (Genie) plus 5 grandchildren; in addition, her siblings Bobby (Sandy) Segall, Lisa Segall (Rick) Goldstein and brother in law, Tim Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sig and Sara Segall, sister Tricia Segall Davis, and her first husband Captain Steve Melnick, killed in action in Vietnam.
