Lois June Carter

June was born on September 13, 1924 to Ural LeVert & Rowena (McVey) Jordan in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After the death of her mother, at a young age June moved to Ashland, AL. There she was raised by Dr. & Mrs. Jordan and graduated from Ashland high school.

June was a long time member of Morningview Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL and Lake Martin Baptist Church. June loved to entertain and cook, and her hospitality was enjoyed by all of her friends.

June was preceded in death by her husband D.C. Carter, brother Joseph LeVert (Gail) Jordan, daughter Pennelope Fields Paracca, granddaughter Ashley Brooke Paracca Isbell. She is survived by sisters Mary (Bill) Bohler and Barbara (Nick) Vasta; daughter Patricia Fields; son-in-law William R.P. Paracca; grandchildren Andrea Rowena Story, Tamara Paracca (Chris) Murray, William Paige Paracca, Charles Brandon (Jill) Paracca; great grandchildren Noah (Raylee) Landry, Bailey Isbell, Payton Isbell, Major Paracca, Charlie Paracca, Sara Paracca, Lindall Paracca; great great grandchildren Layne Alford and Elias Landry.

A parlor service will be held in the Camellia-Jefferson Room at Leak Memory Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Private burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saugahatchee Assembly of God, 14521 AL Hwy 49, Camp Hill, AL 36850, for June’s granddaughter Rowena Story who is battling cancer.
