

Margaret Anne Luna Thompson, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the age of 74. "Marge" was born in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Thomas Watson and Avalee Owenby Gasperson. She grew up on a farm in Candler, North Carolina. She graduated from Boise State Business School in Boise, Idaho and later graduated Nursing School as a R.N. Her vibrant love for Jesus Christ overflowed into her being a loving caregiver to family and friends. Her passion was that each person would know the love of God and pass it on for generations.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home in Montgomery, Alabama. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama.
Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Gasperson and wife Nancy in March 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy, her husband of 32 years, William “Sonny” Thompson of Montgomery, Alabama; children, Laura Nelson Antee (John) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Gloria Nelson Cowan and Bill Luna Masburn both of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Stacy Frazer (Scott), Shawn Cowan (April), John “JW” Antee, Christina Cowan, Jeromy “Jay” Mashburn, and Joseph “Joey” Mashburn; Great Grand Children, Dusteen, Dawson, Jayden, Alexis and Andrew; sisters, Fran Collette of Boise, Idaho and Rena Lance (Roger) of Arden, North Carolina; brother, Texas “Texie” Gasperson (Ling Ling) of Citrus Heights, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
