Marie Jane Stickle

Stickle, Marie Jane, born February 13, 1943 in Thomasville, NC, and a resident of Montgomery, AL went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:35 a.m., succumbing to complications from a long bout with kidney cancer contracted in July 1995. Funeral services will be conducted at Eastmont Baptist Church, 4505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery on Sunday, August 3rd. Visitation for family members will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. and the general public may pay their respects from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at which time the Rev. Art Long will preside over the celebration of her life. There will be no graveside service. Marie was preceded in death by her father, Henry Galloway, and mother, Rosa Galloway, and leaves behind a brother, Dale Galloway and his family, her loving husband Charles, three sons, Randy, Troy, and Walter Jr., a daughter Michelle, and ten grandchildren. Considered by many as a remarkable inspiration, the lack of her physical presence leaves a huge void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life reflected the true spirit of Apostle Paul’s Christianity: she did indeed fight the good fight, finished the race, and is now with her Lord.
