
Marie Kirkpatrick Wiltbank, 78, of Montgomery, Alabama went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 following an extended illness. Her son, Dean King was at her side. A Celebration of Life for Marie will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Dignity Memorial Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama.
Marie was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Etheleen Christie Kirkpatrick and Irby Walter Kirkpatrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cary John Wiltbank. She is survived by her sister, Jane Kirkpatrick of Montevallo, Alabama; Sons: Dean Warren King of Prattville, Alabama, Donovan James King of Montgomery, Alabama, Cary John Wiltbank, II and his partner Christy Kelley of Elmore, Alabama; Daughters: Karma Wiltbank Headley of French Settlement, Louisiana and Melissa Wiltbank Stokes of El Paso, Texas; Grandson: Bryan King of Montgomery, Alabama and many loving friends. All of those who knew her will never forget the love that she brought to their lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Marie graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery Alabama in 1964. Following her graduation from high school, she attended Massey Draughn Business College in Montgomery, Alabama. After graduating from Massey Draughn Business College with with her General Business diploma, she was employed in various customer service positions during her career. With her outgoing personality and her love for people, she provided excellent customer service and care to all of those whom she served.
Always interested in helping people, Marie served as a volunteer at the Montgomery shelter for women and children who were victims of domestic violence and abuse. She was always loving and compassionate toward those who were in need. She was devoted to her family and friends and was always loving and supportive toward them as long as she lived. Marie was an avid cat lover and rescued many homeless cats and kittens.
