Marion Arnold Faulkner, 89, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on November 11, 2025. Marion was born at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Montgomery on October 25, 1936. She graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1955. After high school, Marion studied for one semester at Judson College before becoming homesick and transferring to Huntingdon College, where she met the love of her life, Hugh M. Faulkner.
Marion graduated from Huntingdon in 1959 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught 5th Grade at Maxwell Elementary before dedicating her life to being a full-time homemaker and raising their three daughters.
Marion was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and the Steppingstone Sunday School class. She was an active member of the Francis Marion Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved spending days at the lake and going to the beach, frequenting estate sales, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. After a resounding “War Eagle,” she would proudly tell you that her grandmother, Marion Dawson Toombs, was one of the first women to graduate from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (API) now known as Auburn University in 1899.
Most importantly, Marion loved her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, “Memama” and aunt whose kindness, humor, and heart touched countless lives.
Marion is preceded in death by her parents, LaFayette and Celeste Arnold, brother Ted, and husband of 55 years, Hugh M. Faulkner.
