Bishop, Matthew Borum, Jr., died on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew Borum Bishop, Sr. and Cecile Dennis Bishop. He is survived by his daughter, Susanne Bishop of St. Louis, MO. and his son, Matt Bishop of Montgomery, AL.
Mr. Bishop was with Bishop Parker Furniture Company since 1942, a firm founded by his father, Matthew Borum Bishop, Sr. and Mr. D. C. Parker in 1923. He was a graduate of Barnes School and Howard College, now Samford University. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Montgomery, AL.
Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Jay Wolf and Reverend Tom Randall officiating. Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel one hour preceding the graveside service.
