Mildred Kaye Markwell

Mickey Overstreet Markwell, age 84, of Montgomery, AL passed from this life after a long battle with dementia November 6, 2022.

Mickey was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Munsey Gordon Overstreet Sr. and Myrtice Folmar Overstreet. Most of her life was lived in Montgomery, Alabama where she was Vice-President and Trust Officer for Regions Bank (First National Bank & First Alabama Bank) for 40 years.

She was a long-time member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church where she led the children’s choir for many years. After her retirement she spent time as a docent at the Montgomery Museum of Art and a volunteer with the Alabama Archives and History.

Mickey was preceded in death by her two brothers Munsey Gordon Overstreet, Jr. and William Earl Overstreet and sister Cecilia Overstreet Loudermilk.

Her four sons survive her:

D.G. Markwell (Debbie), Brent Markwell, Roger Markwell (Angie), Greg Markwell; along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be a private graveside service for immediate family.
