Myrtle Catherine Stearns, 90, of Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012. She was born in Robertsdale, AL and retired from ADECA with the State of Alabama in 1988. She loved to shop and Monday’s were, indeed, her favorite day of the week, as she spent her Monday’s shopping with her grandson, Stephen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years George Berry Stearns; sister Juanita Allen and brother Judson Sullivan. Survivors include her daughter Joan Jones of Montgomery; brothers: Horace A. (Ginger) Sullivan of Castleberry, AL and Hugh Frank (Jeanie) Sullivan of Daphne, AL; Grandchildren: Stephen (Melanie) Moseley of Wetumpka and Stephanie Moseley of Montgomery; Great Grandchildren: Charles Moseley, Meredith Moseley, Ryann Catherine Moseley, Meagan Harper and Blake Harper. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Leak Memory Chapel with Chaplain Lenny Bolton officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
