Mr. Nelson Reece Pounds

Nelson Reece Pounds, 93, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by parents, Spencer Pounds and Era Hart Pounds. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Frances Cosper Pounds; daughter, Debbie (Bruce) Prescher; grandsons, James Lain and Christian Lain; and granddog, “Dub”; as well as sisters, Dura Carter, Bernice Whitman, Lyra Skinner, and brother LD Pounds. He was an honorable man, who worked for Zep Manufacturing Company for 48 years. He was a proud American and a Mason. He was also an "EXTRA"ordinary man, who loved Alabama football, Braves baseball, and made numerous contributions to many charitable organizations. He loved everyone and was a willing help to all people. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, AL on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 5pm – 7pm, and also at Antioch Methodist Church in Cleburne County, AL on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 1pm. The funeral service will be at 2pm on Sunday at Antioch Methodist Church on Sunday, March 18, 2012 with burial to follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery.
