Nolen Ballard, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, died peacefully on June 24, 2025, surrounded by family in Wetumpka, Alabama. Until December of 2024, Mr. Ballard lived at home in Honoraville, lovingly cared for by Dale and Brenda Matthews and Jennifer and Roy Welch until he was unable to live alone. Mr. Ballard relocated to Wetumpka, Alabama and resided with family until his death. Mr. Ballard was an avid Beekeeper and well respected in his local Beekeepers Association. He was a long-time member of Antioch East Baptist Church in Greenville, AL and was well loved by his church family and friends.
Survivors include son, Nolen Edward (Sandra) Ballard, Jr., daughter, Diane (Bryce) Cox, grandchildren, Emily (Robbie) Stewart, Anna (Sam) Johnson, Andy (Lauren) Ballard, Bonnie (Griffin) McGalliard, Leah (Beau) Reinmiller, and Jonathan (Courtney) Cox and eleven great grandchildren. Mr. Ballard left behind two sisters: Brenda Carol (Dale) Matthews, Gloria (Ron) McDougald, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ballard was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Elouise Ballard and son; Charles Stanley Ballard.
A friends and family visitation for Mr. Ballard will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Antioch East Baptist Church, 2303 Old Stage Rd., Greenville, AL 36037, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
