Olin Stephen Bloye. Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, May 6th 2024 after reaching the age of 83 years old. After many months of failing health, he died peacefully within his home with his beloved wife Cora, children, and grandchildren, by his side.
Olin was born on November 17th, 1941 in Little Valley, NY to Dora Emmerson and Olin Bloye Sr. After graduating from high school, Olin joined the United States Air Force and was deployed to Luzon, Philippines where he met his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Corazon Rivera. They were happily married in Manila, Philippines in December 16th, 1967 and enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
Olin will be fondly remembered as the cornerstone of his family—a strong and compassionate patriarch whose intelligence and kindness knew no bounds. He dedicated his life to his family, serving as their steadfast anchor and source of unwavering support. Olin's unending patience and sage advice will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Olin is preceded in death by his parents, Dora Emmerson and Olin Bloye Sr; stepmother, Betty Bloye; siblings Harmon Bloye, Stephen Bloye, and Kathy Withey; and grandson Stephen Thompson.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Corazon Bloye; his loving children, Coralin Bloye, Carolin Warrick, and Edward Bloye; his cherished grandchildren, Nichole Warrick (Dalton Turner), Alison Garner (Brett Garner), and Michelle Warrick; and his darling great grandchild, Marcus Garner. He is also remembered by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation for Olin will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a Celebration Of Life at 11:00 AM.
