Mr. Paul David Materna age 49, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Martha Jane Materna. Paul is survived by his children, Joel David Materna, Paul Jackson Materna, Samuel Henry Materna and Madalyn Kay Materna; sister, Paula Materna Bradford; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Leak Memory Chapel. Rev. Allen Newton will officiate with burial to follow at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday evening at Leak Memory Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Earnest Harris, Mike Mosely, Matthew Israel, Kenneth Stafford, Aubrey Bennett and Mark Seale. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul’s co-workers from his time working for the City of Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery Humane Shelter.
