Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Gene Turner; her son Tom Turner; her infant daughters Hope and Dawn Turner; her granddaughter Brittany Margaret Farish; her parents Joe and Mary Evelyn George; and her brothers Wayne George, James Conley George, Danny George, Mark George, Bruce George, and Roger George.
She is survived by her loving daughter Jennifer (Michael) Farish; her cherished grandchildren Andy Farish, Matthew Farish, Mary Grace Farish, Ashlyn Cate Turner, and Larkin Turner; her daughter in law Karen Turner; and her brother Ed (Sherry) George; and sisters in law: Carol Guyton, Sue George, Debbie George, and Grenay Farlow; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She loved sewing, playing cards, visiting on the porch, the excitement of a good casino trip or Waffle House run, and being “Nana” to her grandchildren. Her strength was matched by her love, both steady and constant, which touched everyone around her. While Peggy will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing she is now at the feet of Jesus.
A graveside service in memorial of Peggy’s life will be held November 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Forest Hills Memorial Park of Montgomery, AL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children- https://donate.shrinerschildrens.org or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital- www.stjude.org
