Mrs. Sarah E. "Polly" Bryant Meacham

Sarah Bryant (“Polly”) Meacham, 95, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died in her home Sunday, Feb-ruary 17, 2013, surrounded by her family and care-givers. Funeral services will be at 11:30 am Friday, February 22, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel with visitation beginning at 10 am. Burial immediately following in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Walter Albritton and Rev. Vaughan Stafford officiating. Her husband of 62 years, James Henry Meacham, preceded her in death. Her daughter, Carolyn M. Dismukes (Jackson), her son, James H. Meacham, Jr. (Charlotte), four grand-daughters, Vicki D. Brown (Chris), Becky M. Chance (Wayne), Gina D. Lawrence (Walter), Melinda M. Smith (Michael), and five great-grandsons, Joshua Brown, Samuel Browder, Connor Smith, Trevor and Garrett Lawrence survive her with another great-grandchild due in August. Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Wayne Chance, Walter Lawrence, Michael Smith, Eddie Davis and Jere Beasley. Members of the St. James UMC “Young At Heart” will be honorary pallbearers. Special thanks to Art Dixon of Gentiva Home Health, Jennifer Raney and Nedra Kelly of Hospice of Montgomery and three very special caregivers, Sharon Christian, Shena Harrison and Ann McCall.
