RUCKER, Sarah Broadway, age 82, a resident of Montgomery, AL formerly from Daphne, AL, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2011. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 2011, at 1:00 at Leak Memory Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery. Mrs. Rucker was an accomplished painter and enjoyed ceramic work as well. She was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and her Sunday school class. Mrs. Rucker was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John (Jack) Rucker Jr. She is survived by her four sons; John Burton Rucker III (Marcia) of Montgomery, AL, David Andrew Rucker (Lillian) of Germantown, TN., Derrick Scott Rucker (Julie) of Alpharetta, GA. and Dale Keith Rucker of Mobile; her sister Jane Everett of Magee, MS.; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
