Sharon Kay (Hansen) Walker, 58 of Montgomery died July 10, 2016 in Montgomery. She was born in Montgomery AL to John and Betty Rose Hansen. She is survived by her brothers Paul Hansen Jr. of Birmingham and Greg Hansen (Wife Sandra & Son Benjamin) also of Birmingham.
Having lived in Montgomery all of her life, Sharon graduated from Robert E Lee in 1975 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from AUM. Soon after graduating from AUM she began a long career with the State of Alabama in the revenue department where she continued working until her passing. Her friends and colleagues at work brought her great satisfaction.
Sharon chose to stay close to the eastern area of Montgomery where she grew up. She lived in Capital Heights and the Perry Hill Road area before returning to Dalraida several years ago. She had been single for many years and enjoyed the company of her dogs and working in the yard.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel (enter from the Park Ave side) of First Methodist Church, 2416 W. Cloverdale Park in Montgomery on
Saturday, July 23rd at 11 am.
