Stephen graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Alabama. Shortly after High School, he met the love of his life, Debra Sue Little. The two became one on October 10, 1981, tying the knot on her family’s farm in Pike Road, Alabama. Their marriage began with adventures of traveling before the arrival of their first son, Stephen Edward Crusius. As they came back home to settle down in Alabama, they soon welcomed Patrick Neil Crusius, completing their family. Stephen and Debbie had 35 wonderful years of marriage together before her passing in 2016.
Most of Stephen’s life was spent providing for his family as a dental technician at Patterson Dental for over 40 years. However, his true passion belonged to his love of cooking, music & sports. Stephen’s first job was with a radio station, sweeping floors, while listening to classic rock and vinyl records. For years, Stephen coached his boys’ baseball teams, alongside his best friend, Todd Trawick.
Remaining to cherish Stephen’s memory are his children, Stephen Edward, & Patrick Neil (Rebecca) Crusius; grandchildren, Ryder (14), Mary Calla (9), and Rosie (4); nephew, Ted (Leslie) Strane, their children, Luke, Logan, and Tucker.
Preceding Stephen in his passing are his loving wife, Debra Sue; parents, Edward L. and Sara Nell Crusius; and siblings, Janice (Wes) Strane, and Edward Crusius.
