

Thomas Leon Law Lt. Colonel (Ret.) USAF, entered into eternal life on July 26, 2010 at his home in Montgomery, Alabama. He was born in Florien, Louisiana on February 12, 1922 to Leon and Ada Margaret Law. He attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana and Louisiana State University. He proudly served his country as a 26-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He retired honorably in 1969. He worked with the Administrative Office of Courts, State of Alabama until his retirement in 1987. He was a long-time, active member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter. Among his favorite activities was to serve in the soup kitchen of Moore's Neighborhood Ministries, serving children in the inner city of Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Ann. He leaves to cherish his memory, son Michael, daughter-in-law, Carolyn, daughter, Suzanne; grandsons, Christopher, Jonathon and Stephen; great-grandson Luke; brother, Jim; and companion of many years, Betty Read and various other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Leak-Memory Chapel from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter with the Rev. Drake Whitelaw presiding. The family will receive guests in the McQueen room at the Church from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to the Church of the Holy Comforter, 2911 Woodley Road, Montgomery, AL 36111 or Moore's Neighborhood Ministry, 1002 E. Grove St., Montgomery, AL 36104.
