BLACKWELL, Wesley Drake, age 61, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. Blackwell and Freddie Murphy Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell is survived by his daughter, Cori Blackwell McCarthy (Casey); son, Cody Drake Blackwell; grandchild, Liam Drake McCarthy; sister, Angie Blackwell Pentz; and brother, Gary Blackwell (Angie). He was retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation after 32 years of service and was an avid Alabama fan. Roll Tide!Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Leak Memory Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
