
He was born on July 10, 1941 in Birmingham AL. In 1959 he graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Birmingham, followed by a four year service in the Navy. Bill was self-employed in the manufactured housing industry, both in sales and transport. His hobbies included bowling, hunting, fishing, golf, Alabama football, and trips anywhere near a casino. Bill also enjoyed any NASCAR race with Dale Earnhardt Sr, loved a great football party or summer party around the pool at his home with family and friends, finally getting a 300 game, and maintaining his land.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Hood Dickinson; his father, Bill Dickinson Sr.; and mother, Evelyn Bedoni Guthrie.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri Dickinson; son, Stacy Dickinson (Laura); grandchildren, Marcela, Jacob, Ashley, and Emma; brother-in-law, Max Godsey; along with Nieces and Nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The family will the receive guests at 340 Lamar Road in Hope Hull, immediately following the service.
